On July 13, 2022, the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (“OMIG”) published a significant set of proposed compliance-related rules. The comment period ended on September 12, 2022. While the final regulations have not been issued, there is no doubt that change is coming. Now is the time for providers to refocus their attention on the proposed changes, understand how it will impact them, and prepare in advance so that they have sufficient time to come into compliance.
