As part of our “Employment Law - What Employers Need to Know Now” webinar series,  Garfunkel Wild’s Andrew Zwerling, and Harpreet Kaur will present the webinar “Ensuring Compliance: The Legal and Practical Importance of Accurate Job Descriptions” on July 30, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm (ET).

Although federal law does not require written job descriptions, they are beneficial in many aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring, compensation, and managing employee performance. Obsolete or poorly drafted job descriptions can lead to numerous problems for employers, such as increased litigation risks, employee confusion about job expectations, and undermined recruiting efforts.

To help private sector employers navigate this potential minefield, Garfunkel Wild’s Andrew Zwerling and Harpreet Kaur will host a webinar addressing the legal and practical implications of job descriptions, including:

  • Typical contents of a job description
  • Purpose and utility of job descriptions
  • Importance of accurately describing and listing the essential functions of a job
  • Best practices for drafting and maintaining accurate and well-written job descriptions
