Gillian Barkins which she joined Garfunkel Wild, P.C. in 2014. She is a member of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution Group. Gillian advises clients in federal and state court, arbitrations, appeals, hearings, and mediations. Her practice includes litigation of a wide variety of commercial and business issues, including health care, breach of contract and business tort claims, payer-provider reimbursement disputes, civil rights, and employment actions.
Gillian has also defended clients against various types of employment actions, including harassment and discrimination based on disability, national origin, race, and gender, as well as wrongful discharge and non-compete/restrictive covenant agreements. She has represented clients in connection with claims brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, and the New York City Commission on Human Rights.
Prior to joining the firm, Gillian served as a law clerk to the Honorable William R. DeLorenzo, Jr. (ret.) of the Superior Court of New Jersey. After his retirement, she was a law clerk to the Honorable Ronny Jo Siegal of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
