Cathleen E. Benites is an Associate at Garfunkel Wild, P.C., which she joined in 2016. She is a member of the firm’s Health Care, Health Care Information and Technology, and HIPAA Compliance Practice Groups, which advise health care clients on a host of business, regulatory, compliance and transactional matters.

Ms. Benites brings a myriad of experience in Health Information Technology which she attained prior to entering the legal field in several roles at Healthcare Technology and Healthcare Organizations. Most recently, Ms. Benites served as a Solutions Strategist for Northwell Health, aiding the health system’s Hospitals and Physicians in achieving and attesting for Meaningful Use, as part of the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program.

Ms. Benites previously functioned as a subject matter expert and project leader for the implementation of Electronic Health Records for hundreds of health care providers. She has a keen attention to detail and has spent a number of years working with Health Care Organizations to incorporate technology and manage workflows, projects, implementations, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements in an efficient manner.

She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Molloy College where she received Departmental Honors, her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2016, and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2016.
