Joshua Zarcone joined Garfunkel Wild, P.C. as an associate in 2019. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Arbitration Group, which represents clients at all phases of civil litigation in state and federal court, administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations.

Since joining Garfunkel Wild, Mr. Zarcone has represented clients in various complex commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract cases, construction litigation, managed care reimbursement disputes, and various payer-provider disputes.  Mr. Zarcone has also represented clients in employment matters, including claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the New York Labor Law, and both the New York State and New York City Human Rights Laws.  In addition, Mr. Zarcone has defended clients in discrimination lawsuits brought under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the federal Rehabilitation Act, the Affordable Care Act, and corresponding state and local laws.  Mr. Zarcone has also counseled clients in connection with regulatory and criminal investigations.

Prior to joining Garfunkel Wild, Mr. Zarcone served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County.  During his time as a prosecutor, Mr. Zarcone was assigned to the Trial Division, where he handled a variety of violent felony cases, including assaults, robberies, burglaries, attempted murders, and firearm possession.  Mr. Zarcone handled the prosecution of these cases from intake through final disposition, including conducting investigations, presenting cases to the grand jury, engaging in plea negotiations, and conducting numerous misdemeanor and felony jury trials to verdict.

Mr. Zarcone received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School in 2016.  As a law student, Mr. Zarcone was a member of the Appellate Division of the Moot Court Honor Society and an editor for the Brooklyn Journal of Law & Policy.  He is admitted to practice in New York State, and before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
