Lara Jean Ancona joined Garfunkel Wild, P.C. in 2001. Lara Jean advises clients on a wide range of business, commercial, regulatory, and transactional matters. Lara Jean’s practice includes corporate transactions, regulatory analysis, employment agreements, and service agreements for hospitals, physicians, managed care companies, insurance companies and other health industry clients. She supports a number of hospital and healthcare entities in managing their product, technology and service agreements and ensuring timely acquisition such products and services with a particular emphasis on expansive enterprise-wide purchases. Lara Jean has assisted on the completion of $500M plus system-wide product and technology acquisitions for clients.
Lara Jean has particular experience in developing clinical trial activities and advising organizations on compliance with federal and state research regulations and Institutional Review Board requirements. She has worked with organizations to create a clinical site network and nationwide registry and well as multi-system research collaborations. She addresses questions regarding and structures relations to facilitate the sharing of data for research. She has also assisted clinical research organizations navigating the legal and regulatory frame work in which they operate.
Lara Jean further works with several regional health information organizations in navigating the complex legal and regulatory structure in which they operate. She has assisted in the merger of three separate regional health information organizations within the NYS not for profit corporation requirements.
